How to Experience Kauai

How to Experience Kauai

My friend, Adam Powers and I rented a place on Airbnb in Poipu - it was a spacious two-story bungalow, one block from the ocean, and 1 mile from the town. Here's the pad.

Every morning started with a trip to Little Fish for coffee and the Green Bowl (a super-delicious acai bowl). Almost immediately following this was a run, before the sun started baking everything in its path! After the run, a road trip ensued - hiking, jumping cliffs, exploring private beaches. Post-adventure - off to another town for lunch - Kapaa, Princeville, Hanalei. We went to CrossFit Poipu in the late afternoon, once the heat subsided for some more fitness! Dinner after - the best dinner was at JO2 in Kapaa. Don't miss going there! Post dinner was planning the next day!

For all the venues to check out, here's my Foursquare List:

Must Do's

Hike the Ne Pali Coast State Park - 8 miles round trip to the waterfall

Take a Helicopter Tour

Walk around Main St in Kapaa - great shops and restaurants

Jump off the cliff at Shipwreck (south shore)

Hit all the beaches on the north shore - near Princeville - Haena, Hanalei Bay

Go to Kauai Farmacy - meet Doug, the owner. Tell him I sent you - he’ll give you a private tour!

Acai Bowls - everywhere!

Pop into CrossFit Poipu for a workout! Ask for Aaron!

Jump in the waterfall + swing from the rope swing at Ho'opi Falls

Most of all, just take in the views, around every corner is a scene out of Jurassic Park!
