Cardio first or Strength Training First?
Ultimately, if you’re “training”, meaning you have a sport specific goal or event - you should prioritize the training for that event. Ex) If you’re signed up for a running event or triathlon, then the sport specific disciplines should come first. Ex) Running before strength training.
If you’re exercising, meaning you want to be "lifestyle fit” - look good / feel good. I’d recommend strength training first, followed by aerobic and/or anaerobic efforts. I find it difficult to lift heavy weights after extended bouts of cardio, or metabolic conditioning. On the other hand, strength training often gets my body + CNS primed for an aerobic session or metabolic workout.
